The 9th Annual College Go Get It Week for the Lancaster Independent School District will be September 17-21, 2018. The week is devoted to giving all students the opportunity to learn about post-secondary educational opportunities including colleges and universities, careers, the military, and career technical education.
Information will be disseminated to encourage and motivate students to dream big dreams with the understanding that they can become anything they desire if they work hard with intentional planning for their own success.
College Go Get It Week is consistent with our mission, vision, beliefs, and our mantra, “Expect the Best, Expect Success.”
Parents are encouraged to check with individual campuses for more information on scheduled daily activities and to discuss these activities with their children. All students and their parents are encouraged to attend the College Fair (6:00 to 8:00 p.m.) and the Parent Night Out meeting (5:30 to 6:30 p.m.) at Lancaster High School on Thursday, September 20, 2018.
The Parent Meeting will be held in the Lecture Hall, Room 201. The agenda will cover all of the District’s College, Career, and Military Readiness Efforts including AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination), Dallas County Promise, Dual Credit and Advanced Placement Courses, Lancaster High School College Center, Lancaster STEM Early College High School, Naviance, and JROTC.
