Lancaster ISD Student Wins Dallas Martin Luther King Jr. Center Essay Contest

Rosa Parks Millbrook Elementary student, Christopher Spillman won the elementary division of MLK Commemorative Week Essay Contest. He was awarded at the 37th Annual MLK Awards Gala. The theme of the evening was "Reconciliation: Moving the Dream Forward" and featured keynote speaker Dr. Michael Eric Dyson and a special performance by Sunday Best winner, Crystal Aikin. The title of his essay was “Christopher’s Amazing Creation in the World.”

Lancaster High School Fine Arts Try Outs Meeting

You’ve seen them in action at the football games, parades and pep rallies. Well, now is your opportunity to get off the sidelines and be a part of the action! If you are interested in joining one of the prestigious Fine Arts Organizations—Cheerleaders, Drill Team, Majorettes, or Color Guard (Spinettes) —then you and a parent need to attend the mandatory meeting Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium at LHS.
